Katie Arcila

This is my first year teaching at Tesla! I actually was at Tesla for my student teaching program right out of college.   I went to Western State College of Colorado in Gunnison.   I have taught art for 20 years in District 11.  My degrees include a Bachelor in the arts and a master's in education. 

      I am a mother and wife and can usually be found playing outside.  I snowboard, mountain bike, hike, and camp.  I have been learning how to grow plants and herbs and have three garden assistants, in the form of ducks.  

      I incorporate nature into my own art making, and love using my hands.  I find great satisfaction in supporting young people in their own art making whether it being to improve in technique or improving their self-expression.
